Hello

My name is Deborah Turner

After being an Army Medic, I noticed there were many injuries that could not just have been prevented by, but also treated by exercise if done properly.  This inspired me to get my Personal Training Certification in 2016 and pursue higher education at Iowa State University in Kinesiology: Exercise Science.

Post graduation I founded MiHealth and Fitness to give people a totally different experience with personal training. While I was working in a traditional gym setting there were key things I noticed that made it difficult for some of our members.  We are all different people with different comfort levels in a public gym.  I noticed that when we were able to provide a workout program but changed the setting to a private location rather than an open public gym floor that people were able to naturally open up more about what was making training difficult for them. This allowed for a better educational space without distractions and waiting on equipment.

I believe that as an owner and trainer myself, it is my responsibility to ensure that everyone who comes into contact with MiHealth will received the absolute best care into their programs and give the proper interventions that targets both goal outcomes and health outcomes for a higher quality of life and wellness. Our trainers receive extra training into medical populations so that we can provide a safe environment for people to exercise at an appropriate level.

I am available for training Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
